An NUJ member with an extensive background in magazine publishing and website production, I supply a wide range of design and editorial services from my base in central London.
Production for print
Working in Adobe InDesign, I undertake page production, proofing and correction for magazines and books on a freelance basis. I have 25 years’ experience of working as a copy editor, sub-editor and production editor for many UK publishing companies including Incisive Media, Archive of Modern Conflict, Haymarket Media Group, LexisNexis, Campden Publishing, Noble House Media, Future Publishing and Sudler & Hennessey.
Website design and production
I have been designing and building websites for 10 years, initially for several small-scale enterprises of my own and more recently for other small businesses and independent practitioners. As an integral part of the site construction process I provide copy-editing and search engine optimisation services, helping to ensure that the sites I produce achieve the widest possible exposure.
Copy-editing for print and web
With a background in both arts-based and STM publishing, I am highly experienced at turning complex or technical copy into plain English. I can correct spelling and grammar, improve readability and flow, and apply a consistent modern style or your own house style to your text.
